NE1 Updates Gateshead 1 Opening.Press release 26 November 2010
NE1 are pleased to announce the opening date for our new Data Centre in located in Gateshead, providing Web Hosting, Co-Location and Dedicated Server facilities serving the North East of England.
NE1 and selected clients have been test driving the facilities for the last two months while the finishing touches have been put in place.
The Data Centre has been 12 months in the making and will finally open to customers on the 20th December 2010.
The Data Centre boasts some of the best connected rack space in the UK with connectivity being provided by British Telecom's Global Services division using their BT Net portfolio, using physically diverse routes to deliver the connectivity. Additional carriers are planned, a deal with G-ti, Aspire Technology Solutions and Virgin Media will be finalised by the end of December, with a planned go-live date in February, giving clients the ability to choose their carrier.
The latest in power distribution, security and HVAC systems are in place to ensure client equipment and data is kept safe and secure at all times.
Watch out for our "Put your hardware in my rack" advertising campaign which promises to attract attention across the North East with prominently displayed advertisements!
