New Year, Stronger Connections, New Possibilities!
NE1 Data Centres (NE1) are pleased to announce that Level
3 (formerly Global Crossing) have completed the installation of
their dedicated IP Transit into NE1’s Gateshead Data Centre.
NE1 have partnered with one of the world’s
largest telecoms companies, Level 3 to provide native IPv6
connectivity, direct to central Gateshead. This brings a number
of firsts to Gateshead, IPv6, fast IP access to the US, Asia,
Africa, Europe and beyond as well as NE1’s expertise in the Data
Centre arena.
The IP transit from Level 3 is currently
undergoing final testing, NE1 plan to make the service live on 9th
January 2012, giving customers and those on the G-ti’s Open
Access Fibre Network a direct connection to the Level 3 global
network via the NE1 Data Centre in Gateshead.
NE1 are celebrating with an open day on 11th
January 2012, visitors can try out the new connection for
themselves while enjoying a coffee and a cake, obtain discounts
on services if they sign up on the day and get free impartial
advice on the best way to achieve their goals online. Visitors
can bring their own laptop or macbook to try the service, or use
one of our public PC’s. Visitors can register their interest by

NE1 are also launching their easy in / easy
out flexible contract, with no setup fees. The new style
contract is designed to help business get the technology and
internet services they need to compete online without the
commitment to a long term contract.
Businesses in Newcastle, Gateshead and
Nationwide are being urged to take advantage and book now since
space in this Data Centre is limited.
